Ascari Ecosse
The first car to bear the Ascari badge was the Ecosse.
This mid-engine sports car was originally developed for the road in 1998, although it went on to race in the British GT series, just as the KZ1-R does today.
The production version of the Ecosse was given a 300BHP, 4-litre V8, while later the introduction of a 4.7-litre and finally a 5-litre Hartge-BMW unit took output to nearer 400BHP, giving the car a top speed of 200mph.
